“La La Land is a socially conscious cafe that prioritizes kindness, honest ingredients, and altruism above all else.”
Nestled in Lower Greenville lies one of Dallas’s trendiest coffee shops, La La Land Kind Cafe. I already popped by to indulge in one (or two, or let’s face it three) servings of their perfectly balanced cortado – but that’s not the only thing that deserves praise.
Behind the impeccably crafted drinks and locally sourced treats lies a larger mission – to spread the power of kindness by hiring youth who are transitioning out of the foster care system. Through a socially responsible mission, La La Land Kind Cafe’s founder, Francois Reihani, propelled the trendy Dallas coffee scene into something more meaningful.
The youth employed at La La Land Kind Cafe are trained in the customer service industry and taught transferable skills aimed to propel future career goals and growth. La La Land Kind Cafe also provides employees with a mentorship program, tutoring, and weekly check-ins for its employees.
It’s hard not to imagine a warm spring day walking past the dreamy white picket fence, grabbing an iced latte, and relaxing with friends on the patio. But if the blistering hot Texas sun proves to be too hot to bear, the crisp interior sports a large brown leather couch and plenty of plush chairs to relax on all afternoon. A socially responsible coffee shop with the perfect lounging atmosphere – what’s not to love?
This Dallas gem is so good it might as well be straight out of La La Land!
